First Grade Peace March!

This month students are studying the life and achievements of Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.  Students in first grade created peace quilts.  These quilts represented each student's idea for peace.  In addition, after our first graders had an an opportunity to hear Dr. King's "I Have a Dream" speech, they created signs sharing ways to keep Dr. King's dream alive.  On January 15th, just prior to the Martin Luther King holiday, students marched through the halls singing various peace songs from the 1960s.

Please take a moment to view our video montage from the Peace March.
